Perks:
MWG members get access to the Meme Scholars Lecture Series, a selection of presentations by meme scholars in the Spring 2023 FYS “Engaging Memes.” These will take place via Zoom during the 2A block and recordings will become accessible the week following each presentation.
A free copy of The World Made Meme, the textbook used in the course “Engaging Memes" this quarter as a basis for classroom discussion
A space to muse about memes over pizza with other meme-curious students who are not enrolled in “Engaging Memes.” The MWG will meet every two weeks to discuss the material (guest presentations and short readings) included in the last 2-week module. Professors Tanoukhi and Kruger, organizers of the Memetics Project, will mediate a relaxed conversation.
